Refinished a coffee table from my house growing up.
Notes:
- Replaced the veneered top with a solid walnut slab.
- Base is a combination of hardwood and plywood.
- Initially tried to use my HVLP to repaint the base using thinned latex paint, but it was an absolute disaster. No adhesion and a dripping mess. Had to scrap it and re-sand back to raw wood, essentially restarting. Huge waste of time and effort.
- Second attempt painted with brush and roller without thinning, and it went much better.
- Order a glass top to add on top of the wood slab to protect from the kiddos.
